My Story – Why I Started This Nonprofit

Hi, my name is Janice, and I am the proud mother of seven beautiful children. My journey into motherhood started at just 12 years old when I became a teen mom. It was a path filled with struggles, uncertainties, and challenges that many couldn’t imagine. But through it all, I found strength—not just within myself, but through the support of individuals and community programs that lifted me up when I needed it most.

I know firsthand what it feels like to be young, scared, and unsure of how to navigate motherhood. I understand the judgment, the sleepless nights, and the overwhelming pressure of trying to provide for your child while still figuring out who you are. But I also know the power of support, the impact of a helping hand, and the life-changing difference that encouragement and resources can make.

That’s why I started Letsnspire, Inc.—to be that support for teen mothers who feel like they have nowhere to turn. I want young moms to know that they are not alone. There is hope, there is help, and there is a future waiting for them and their children.

Our organization provides housing assistance, childcare, education programs, mentorship, and a community of people who truly care—because no teen mother should have to walk this journey alone.

I believe in second chances. I believe in the strength of young mothers. And most of all, I believe that with the right support, they can break barriers, build strong futures, and raise incredible children.

This is my story, but it’s also the story of so many young mothers. If you or someone you know needs help, we are here for you. And if you want to be part of the change, we welcome you to join us in making a difference.

💗 With love and hope,

Janice

Heyy, my name is La’Niya Reed. I’m 25 years old, a proud mom of two, and the oldest of seven siblings. I graduated from Winston-Salem Prep in 2017, where I cheered and danced all four years, finishing my senior year as captain. After high school, I went on to graduate as a first-year college student from NC A&T, earning my Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with a focus on entrepreneurship and business in 2022.
